Dallas, Texas

We're not actually in Dallas, we're in Plano, which is a suburb. The whole Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area pretty much all runs into one another anyhow.

Yesterday, we went for one last hike at Cooper Lake. Not a bad trail...they said it was 5 miles (8 kms), but it didn't feel like it. Took us an hour and a half, and it was relatively flat, so maybe that was about right. Whiskey kept up with no problem at all.

On the trail. Gonna try remembering to use the tripod more often!

No real problem getting into the metro area other than a couple of areas under construction. We'll probably head out of here on Sunday morning when things are quiet!

Stayed up late (almost 11:30pm) visiting with our friends Don and Joanne. We met them 18 years ago when we were at an all inclusive resort in Antigua, and have kept in touch over the years.

Not sure what's on the agenda for today, except for laundry, showers, and I want to get to a Barnes and Noble bookstore to order the newest edition of "Churches Guide to Mexican Camping". If we order it here and have it delivered to San Antonio, is should be there when we get there.

On another note, we found out in August that we are going to be grandparents. This week, we found out it's going to be a grandson! Looking forward to the end of March!

  4. Thank you for the congratulations, we are looking forward to having a grandson. It will be a special time next spring for us.

WBY...We are parked on the street in front of their house in Plano. Having no problems doing that and believe it or not it is very, very quiet. There's no traffic noise at all.

  5. Yup... collecting grandkids is a most wonderful past-time! We got three and are looking forward to many more. Looking at one right now playing with the coasters on my coffee table. Who needs expensive toys?
