Calderitas (day 11)

Wednesday January 21…10:00pm

A little cooler today…high about 24C (75F) and sunny with cloudy periods. I had checked the weather forecast, and it’s supposed to get down to about 12C (55F) overnight.

The locals will have their woolies on tonight! It’s funny that they think this is really cold…yet we’re still very happy with it!

Walking down Kathe’s entranceway this morning, Ruth and I saw a snake. It was about 3 feet long, very skinny, and bright green in colour. Kathe told us later that this is a non poisonous snake, although there are some on the property that are poisonous…they are brown with red stripes on them. Apparently there are also pit vipers and rattlesnakes, although she has never seen either of these.

No picture of the snake, but we did get a picture of this pretty butterfly

I have my dentist appointment tomorrow morning at 8am, so we have decided to get up early and ride our bikes in. It’s about 15 km’s each way, so we will leave here at 7am.

Total nights sleeping in a motorhome…455

January Fuel $ 45.50 CAN

January Grocery $ 144.91 CAN

January Overnight costs $ 87.36 CAN
