Head of Jeddore, Nova Scotia

Sunday June 8…10:30pm

It was very foggy this morning, and quite cool until the sun burned it’s way through about noon. We had to leave the campground by 1pm, and to get our money’s worth, that’s when we left. We drove through Halifax and Dartmouth
heading east along the coast. We stopped at a grocery store, and stocked up. Again, we find food prices to be very expensive here. But, you have to eat! Speaking to the checkout girl, she says that government involvement is behind the high prices. Surprise, surprise. I can’t figure out why we don’t elect people who will put some common sense into the system.

We stopped at a town called Head of Jeddore (they sure have some odd place names here) and found a church parking lot that was a bit off the road. They had a 6:30pm service though, so we waited at a nearby store parking lot until the service was over, and around 8pm we moved into the church lot for the night. Surprisingly, this is the first time we’ve parked overnight in a church parking lot, although we’ve thought of it many times.
