Tecolote Beach (day 3)

Sunday January 13...11:00pm

Didn't have a great sleep. There were two dogs barking at about 5am and they kept going for about an hour.

When we finally did get up it was to a beautiful day with no wind, which is nice because this is a fairly windy beach. Had our coffee and tea and read as usual, it was going to be a lazy kind of day, we both have books that are good and want to get them finished today.

Took Whiskey for a walk to the far end of the beach, which is about 1km or so and back. We want to take our bikes along the road to some other beaches while we are here or when we stop back here on our return visit after doing the loop, as the motorhomes would not do this road, it is just a dirt track from here to the other beaches.

The wind picked up in the afternoon and actually made things feel much cooler unless you sit in the sun and blocked from the wind or like Kevin, sit in the motorhome. Kevin finished his book so he and Steve played backgammon, while I continued to read. Glen got a Mexican camping book from one of the neighbours that we have been looking for, so she photocopied pages so we would have it for the mainland when we get over there. Lots of info on camping, proper and free camping, where they are and how to get there, so that should be very helpful for us. Once she finished photocoping she just downloads the pictures to her laptop and Kevin's as well.

Now its off to bed and hopefully a good night's sleep!
