Los Cerritos Beach (day 9)

Wednesday January 23...10:30pm

100 nights sleeping in a motorhome!

Another coasting kind of a day. Ruth went into town with Glen and a bunch of other ladies. The purpose of that trip was to go to some kind of bakery that was only open on Wednesdays. But Ruth found that it was way too expensive, almost like it was geared towards the "gringos". But she had fun anyhow, and managed to pick up a few cheap fruits and vegetables.

Meanwhile, I put the bike back together, only to find out that the rear tire patch didn't hold, so it's gone flat once again. When we get into Cabo San Lucas tomorrow, I'll pick up my own repair kit.

In the evening, we were invited to an impromptu pot luck supper. Our neighbours, who are from Washington state, had been fishing and had cooked too much so they invited us over and we brought along some left over casserole that we already had warming up. We are hopefully going to meet up with these people again at another free campsite further up the east coast of the Baja when we are heading back to La Paz. After supper, we had a game of dice gambling. Kind of like "chase the ace" but with dice, called LCR or Left, Centre, Right. We did one round with three 2 pesos coins each, and one round with three 10 pesos coins each. Neither Ruth or I won, but it was sure a lot of fun.

Up early tomorrow because we are going into Cabo San Lucas for a few days. It'll probably cost us around $22 per night, but we need to empty and refill everything, and they have a Walmart where we can restock on things.

Total Nights Sleeping in the RV... 100...

January Fuel $120.00

January Grocery $242.35

January Overnight Costs $0
