Los Barriles (day 3)

Wednesday January 30...11:15pm

The wind dies down at night, but it sure picks up during the day. Temperature was down to 12 at night, and 24 during the day. Very comfortable. We watched the kite boarders again this morning. It sure does look like fun. We've decided it would be like a kind of a combination of water skiing and snow boarding. We think Lindsey would be very good at it.

After lunch, I helped Steve with fixing a corner of his motorhome. It had been repaired once before, but not very well. So we bought some auto body materials to fix it up. It's not fun doing it without the proper tools, but at least it will look better than it did.

Went for a walk up a hill overlooking the town. This hill has been subdivided into building lots and somebody has already built a beautiful place right at the top. There's certainly no shortage of American money around some of these seaside towns. Saw a couple of places for sale...one was $289,000 US and it was not beachfront and it was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. Another was right on the beach and we were told it was over a million. It sure didn't look like anything special, but I guess location is everything.

Played 6 handed canasta with the neighbours after supper.
