The sharp rocks aren't bad as long as you have good footwear and hope you don't trip and reach out for the rocks with your hand to stop you, lol.

Yes, Kilimanjaro will be expensive and yes, it will be touristy but once we get out of that area we really shouldn't have many problems with being in touristy areas. Most people that go visit Tanzania go for the Serengeti and Kilimanjaro but we want to see more than just that. It will be an interesting trip that is for sure. Yes, we agree the prices aren't going to get any better and there will hopefully be a few less people than normal, I guess we will see. I know Kilimanjaro/Tanzania would be expensive and touristy, but that's not going to improve in the coming years, and I am thinking it might be less busy in 2021 than in a normal year when more people are traveling? I know I am late registering my "vote", but I so want to read about that hike that I am hoping this is the destination you have chosen. I'm behind on your posts so may find out today as I continue reading! :)Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15572905521059358017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7171307653508307040.post-29394622234391941952020-12-10T08:39:30.984-05:002020-12-10T08:39:30.984-05:00It really is and we are enjoying every minute of i...It really is and we are enjoying every minute of it. :-)
Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18136052866820208847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7171307653508307040.post-90274553197657086322020-12-10T07:59:45.269-05:002020-12-10T07:59:45.269-05:00Such beautiful scenery!Such beautiful scenery!Tina Caparellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16554246432069772291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7171307653508307040.post-78482551416419740542020-12-09T00:20:25.946-05:002020-12-09T00:20:25.946-05:00Yep, that would be a great boondocking spot! :-)

One, the majority of the countries there are part of the Schengen Visa areas where you can only do three months in and three months out and because we want to be there in March then we would have used up most of our three months. Secondly, any of the countries that areN'T part of the Schengen Areas are still cold, although we could do Albania because it isn't a Schengen Visa country but it will still be quite a bit cooler and we aren't so sure that we want to deal with that, plus the fact that this country will be easily doable in our motorhome and that would actually be our preferable way to explore the country. And the third reason for not wanting to do Europe at the moment is that many of the countries are closed to those coming from Turkey due to COVID and there are many limitations with movement because of COVID, this is why we gave our choices to the countries that we know that we can visit at the moment.

We are so happy that you have been enjoying our travels through Turkey, I know that we sure have been loving them and we look forward to coming back here in our motorhome sometime over the next year or two. :-)Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18136052866820208847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7171307653508307040.post-46801293891561705382020-12-08T23:57:49.811-05:002020-12-08T23:57:49.811-05:00I don't know about that, I am sure that they k...I don't know about that, I am sure that they keep things clean and she is rinsing them off well with water, although we do agree with you, we are sure they have strong immune systems.

Thanks for you input Nora, we do agree that being younger is better definitely an asset to climbing Kilimanjaro but as long as we stay physically fit we could still be able do the climb for a number of years yet.

Yes, our fingers are crossed that we will be able to get to Germany in March.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18136052866820208847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7171307653508307040.post-683560692505005382020-12-08T19:49:05.240-05:002020-12-08T19:49:05.240-05:00I agree 100% on the boondocking spot. Put a European map on the wall and throw a dart Or a kitchen knife at it .... there’s a good chance you probably have never been there.?? There’s even a greater chance 99% of us never have either.
