Yikes!

I saw the weather forecast and let out a little yelp. Now, we have to remember this is the long term forecast, but next week it looks like it's going to get chilly around here!

Down below freezing next week! And a high of only 6C? What's up with that??!

Oh, for those of you who are metrically challenged...

This weekend is looking pretty nice though.

We had a ton of rain yesterday though. Again. The ground is getting pretty saturated. The locals say that it's definitely not normal to have this much rain at this time of year.

Yesterday was grocery shopping day and because of the rain there was no point in hanging around the park. So we both went in to town together. We didn't even really need much in the way of groceries because we're trying to use everything up by the end of the month. We spent $55...lowest weekly grocery bill since we got here at the end of April!

The little blue car was covered in mud though. What a mess it was. I brought it up to the shop and stood in the spitting rain with the hose and spray nozzle rinsing all the mud off of it before parking it.

Doing more Korea planning. Four weeks from today we will be somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, on our way to Asia for the very first time! Starting to get excited about that! Gotta get some Korean won before we leave. Our bank has a program now where you can order foreign currency online and pick it up a couple of days later at your local branch.

Unfortunately, we don't get as much of it as we would have a year ago...

A year ago we would have got 1,040 won for a Canadian dollar and now we only get 940. We'll have to work extra hard to budget and save while we're over there!

Speaking of saving, we have a great Amazon.com deal of the day for you...

I know how much some of you ladies love your sewing machines and Ruth sure does miss having one around. She used to use hers a lot when we had a normal home. This one is the top seller on Amazon, and today only it's less than half price.

  1. My daughter, granddauther and I recently returned from a trip to D.C. and drove from Blairsville, PA to Crystal City, VA. I had forgotten the trees and hilly country and remarked that in fall the leaves turn gold, red, yellow, tan and it's a beautiful sight and tons of leaves to rake up and dive into. the photo expresses it all.

    1. Thank you Rita, unfortunately the picture didn't have quite as much color as we would have liked, we were there after the prime time for the colorful leaves but is still looked so pretty.

I think that Pennsylvania and Virginia are such gorgeous states at that time of year.

    1. The campground will be fine if it doesn't stay below zero every night, if so then Kevin will be shutting off water and blowing the lines out sooner than he expected.

Sounds like a nice tour you have planned.

    1. We would rather have hot but without the humidity. It's just about time to head south!
