We're back on track!

How quickly things turn for the better.

One moment I'm searching for used cars, and a couple of hours later I'm driving the little blue car out of the storage building. It seems we're back on track!

The guy I was dealing with had said that he would get back to me before Wednesday night, so I didn't expect to hear from him yesterday. Especially with the news that two other guys had unexpectedly come to get their cars out, and they had moved the other cars around enough that there was a path to get the little blue car to the door.

But I had to leave right away if I wanted the car yesterday, so didn't even grab the camera in the rush out the door.

I put the battery in, and he fired right up...raring to go!

Back at Ruth's dad's, checking things out.

So now today, I have to get the registration and e-test done. However before I do that, I'm going to look in to getting a temporary trip permit for the drive to Saskatchewan. Thinking about permanently changing our residency to that province. We will be spending more time there than in Ontario for the next few years (or at least that's the plan!) so it make sense to become official Saskatchewan residents.

Ruth noticed some flowers coming up in the garden. Spring is in the air!

The backyard. Another couple of weeks and things will be nice and green.

We had all the family over for a big Easter feast on Sunday. There were 14 people! Ruth cooked a big bird, and Lindsey made some deserts. We figured out that 14 people is pretty much the maximum for the dining room table...

First time in at least three years that everybody from both sides of our family were together!

Four generations.

Happy Easter from Sadie!

  1. Great that you got your little blue car out and ready to hit the road again.
Family get togethers are always a fun time.

  2. Nice going. Sometimes things work out. With the type of storage you had (indoors) you had the best possible situation and ultimate outcome.
I like the use of the empty box of drywall compound for a toy box. Enjoy your day.

    1. And, it was cheap indoor storage. I think we paid $200 for the season.

  4. Good news! Like the four generation shot. What will the benefits be to changing your residency?

    1. Not sure yet that there is a benefit. It would cost at least $200 just to register the little blue car!
