Interior decorating

More puttering around on Sherman yesterday. Ruth got the panels recovered between the cupboards. They had a green coloured fabric on them and Ruth made them the same as the curtain valances she had recovered last year.

They look a lot better and it even seems a little brighter in there. You wouldn’t think such a small thing would make a difference, but it seems to.

Before

We need a new clock!

I got the cabinet installed where the TV used to be. I’m not 100% happy with it, but it’s way better than having the TV there. I’m still considering putting a smoked plexiglas door on it. I’m going to do that to the new cabinet where the microwave used to be, so I may as well buy another piece that will fit and if we like it we can istall it.

We had some rain yesterday afternoon, but the weather overall has been fantastic in our opinion. Highs around 30C (86F) and lows around 21C (70F). Perfick!

  5. Looks like a great cabinet, the glass door will look great, that's what we have on our entertainment center. We're so excited to hear you will be heading this way in Sept, sorry for not answering quicker, We just got home from the Lake today. With Donna working two jobs she doesn't check the mail everyday and I didn't have wi-fi on a regular basis for a week. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna...

  9. Donna...Thank you! Don't think it is so much being talented, just handy.

Jim and Sandie...Yep, lots of little changes do make a big difference.

Contessa...We agree, it needs a door to pull it all together.

George and Suzie...Sherman needed a little change.

Sam and Donna...No need to apologize, we knew you were at the lake and didn't have regular access to the internet. Looking forward to the visit. Whiskey can't wait to say hi to Riggs and Sadie.

Kenny and Angela...I think we have a long way to go before we ever get to that point.

WBY...The blue material on the panels was not the original colour it was put on by a previous owner and I really never liked it. We now find that the new colour really brightens things up in there.

Rick and Elaine...Yep, the little things all add up to big improvements. Thanks!
