So then I took the Lincoln for a ride into town. Sherman still needs the front sway bar bushings replaced, and the Advance Auto Parts website said that this store had them in stock. It was a 20 mile (32 km) ride each way, only to find out their website was wrong. So I’ll stop at another store along the way over the next few days.
Sherman survived his operation!
But I did manage to pick up a new thermostat. Seems like we’re not getting enough heat out of the dash when it’s cold out, so I think maybe the old one is stuck open or something. So I got that changed and hopefully we’ll be warm, seeing as we’re heading into some colder weather over the next few days.
A weiner tree!
Ruth and LawsonThis evening, we went and visited with some of Pete’s cousins and had a fire and barbeque. They did pheasant and ribs…it was a real southern party and we enjoyed meeting everyone. Didn’t get back until after midnight, so we may have to put off our early start tomorrow morning!
Ruth and Pete's neice, Annie.
We’ve had a great week visiting with Pete and Pam and will make a point of returning again on our next trip south. Thanks for everything Pete and Pam!
